Stockholm, Sweden (March 4, 2011) – eze System has initiated a joint effort with ABB to make electricity meter data available over the Internet. Internet based meters enable users to monitor, visualize and better understand electricity usage, which is a critical part of improving efficiency and to realize savings.

Many modern high-end HVAC systems can be monitored, supervised and sometimes even controlled remotely to make sure they operate at peak performance and to predict service needs.

At Distributech in San Diego today, I found myself rubbing sholders with the elite in Smart Grid systems. I had the pleasure of talking to a lot of experts on this subject, and it was interesting to compare definitions.

Since we launched support for Google Powermeter, many of our customers have gathered interesting data and asked many good questions on how to interpret the Powermeter graphs. Here are some of the most frequent questions:

We just rolled out several new features!

The last two weeks we had some reports of Twitter status updates not working. This was due to a change Twitter made, where they changed the interface to their servers. We have now updated our interface and the Twitter feature works again.

Google Powermeter is a free energy monitoring tool that lets you view your power consumption in your web browser. We are excited to announce that we have enabled the ezeio to upload data continously to the Google servers, so you can add your power consumption to your iGoogle page or use the Google interface directly.

With support for control and logging of 40 inputs, 40 outputs, 20 thermostats, temperature probes, VFDs, Wattmeters, CO2 sensors, moisture sensors, air quality and more, the ezeio Controller was already the best value anywhere for logging and control but: it just got better!

A new system was installed for visualization of energy use in IBM's offices in Kista, outside Stockholm, Sweden to help IBM reduce their energy consumption. Energy consumption is presented in real time on monitors in common areas and on their intranet.

Our dealer in Milwaukee, Wi-Green, recently completed a building automation project that included an eZE System controller at its core.
